Pre-Season Soccer Skills Clinic for Pre-K
Clinics will be held 2-3 days per week for three weeks prior to the first game (August 23-September 10). Clinics last from 45 to 60-minutes.
Players will learn the fundamentals of the game. Each session will focus on different skills (passing, kicking, defending, etc.). Parents are encouraged to participate in clinic by coaching, guiding and assisting their children in developing the knowledge and skills necessary to enhance their progress.
YMCA members: $40, activity member: $75
Fall Youth Leagues
Fall Soccer
Ages: 3-12 (PK3-6th grade)
Fees: $50 YMCA Members, $80 Activity Members
Registration: July 12 - September 4
Season runs: September 11 - November 6, with the end-of-season tournament on November 13. Schedule is posted by September 6. YMCA scheduled games will be on Saturdays with the possibility of some Thursday evening games. Rescheduled games are coordinated by coaches. There will be no games on September 25, in order not to conflict with the Y Adventure Guides campout.

Pick up your roster, find out about program changes (rules, parking, goals, field locations, etc.), signups for practice times, picture and uniform information are all shared at this meeting. It is mandatory that a coach or team representative comes to pick up the information and hear about any program changes. A free coaches' clinic will be offered to all head and assistant coaches weekly from August 23-September 10. Coaches will receive coaching tips, ideas for practice drills and how to organize practices, as well as learn other tools that will help him or her as a YMCA volunteer coach during the season.
Parent Meeting: Thursday, Aug. 26 at 6pm. New to the game or YMCA youth sports and want to get an idea of what you are in for? Come to the parent meeting and get your questions answered or provide your own personal feedback and/or suggestions.

Fall Flag Football Rec Leagues
The YMCA at White Rock plays inter-league play with our Lake Highlands branch. Coaches meetings and Parent meetings are held at the Lake Highlands YMCA. Flag Belts are provided for the season by the YMCA at White Rock.
Ages: Grades 1 (age 6) - Grade 6. Must be 6 years old by September 1, 2010.

Ages: K - 6th grade (must be 5 years old by September 1, 2010)
Fees: $80 YMCA Members, $115 Activity Members
Registration: October 11 - November 14. Late registration from November 15 - 21 with a $25 late fee.
Season runs: December 4 - February 11. Schedules will be posted by Monday, November 29. YMCA scheduled games will be on Saturdays with the possibility of some Thursday evening games. Rescheduled games are coordinated by coaches.

The YMCA relies on dedicated adult volunteers to provide leadership as coaches, officials, and team parents. Your time and talents are needed at the YMCA. If you want to put kids first, please fill out a volunteer application and contact the sports department.

What is the time commitment?
Typically two to four hours per week.
Do I have to have played the sport I'm coaching?
No, but it does help to have a working knowledge.
Do I have to fill out an application if I have coached before?
A coach/volunteer must fill out a new application each calendar year.
